NexCOBOT’ s Smart Robot Box (SRB) is a series of powerful robot gateways that fulfills the automation industry’s need to link together major industrial robots on manufacturing lines. Such robots have been deployed across multiple industries to increase productivity and enhance manufacturing quality. Although this raises the overall level of automation, communication challenges, including closed architecture and disparate protocols, make it difficult to integrate seemingly incompatible robot brands and share data with the information system. However, by using the SRB’s web-based UI, users can easily configure different robots to transmit data to HMI, SCADA, and the cloud. With 24/7 web monitoring via smartphone or computer, users can access data, observe conditions, and immediately diagnose problems to prevent unnecessary downtime – especially relevant to users who can only access their factory floors and production lines remotely during the coronavirus pandemic. The SRB’s three models, the 100, 200, and 201, are each individually designed for specific industrial applications.
