Controllers are essential for the precise, stable, and efficient operation of humanoid and quadruped robots. They enable these robots to perform complex tasks, adapt to various environments, and operate safely and reliably. Our controller platforms, including ECM-A100-X and ECM-M400-X, offer varying levels of computing performance and a rich set of peripheral interfaces. They integrate real-time Linux control system (NexRTOS) with EtherCAT master software (NexECM), providing a stable and real-time operating environment. This setup allows for rapid development of motion control software for humanoid robots. Additionally, the platforms are equipped with high-performance NVIDIA computing chips, facilitating efficient implementation of various AI applications.

NexCOBOT also provides the ROBASafe functional safety solution, featuring a safety controller, an FSoE master, and safety application software customization services. In a humanoid or quadruped robot, robot joints or actuators are crucial components to ensure smooth and precise movements. NexCOBOT offers compact Actilink JD actuators that seamlessly integrate EtherCAT servo drives, torque motors, encoders, and gearboxes. These compact actuators enable your robots to move with agility and tackle complex terrains with ease, enhancing the success of your project.

Control System (Motion Control Platform and AI Control Platform)

The advanced control system optimizes Real-Time Linux with an EtherCAT Master Stack, featuring a robust hardware platform with rich peripherals available in single-board or fanless box PC types. It is AI-accelerated with NVIDIA GPU and NVIDIA Jetson platforms and is compatible with NVIDIA ISAAC ROS software tools, ensuring high performance and seamless integration for motion control and AI applications.

Functional Safety

The comprehensive functional safety system offers performance up to SIL3 HFT=1/PLe Cat.3 and supports FSoE safety fieldbus communication. It includes a ready-to-use safety controller with optional industrial robot safety application software that complies with ISO 10218. Users can develop safety applications using C code with the safety controller and easily expand safety digital I/Os with the NEIO safety series.

Robotic Joint (Actuator Module)

The efficient and reliable actuator module is specifically designed for service robots and humanoids, offering exceptional cost efficiency. It utilizes torque motors and low planetary reduction stages, featuring a coaxial design that combines the motor and reducer at a single level. The module supports EtherCAT, high-performance motion control, and advanced control features, ensuring high efficiency. Additionally, it complies with STO SIL3 PLe standards and offers a Safe Motion + FSoE option.

EtherCAT Servo Drive
